Riga

My brother recently opened a new office in Latvia and I may actually visit him in his latest posting.He has previously done a couple of stints in Moscow and Lagos neither of which I wanted to see.I will have to see how he is getting on in Riga.

A very long day.Alot of it sat in traffic on our wonderful motorway system.I have worked out that this week I have lost about 8 hrs in traffic jams.Still not long to wait until we have HS2 which will solve all the transport problems in one go.

Some very late orders in today.All day tomorrow and possibly Sunday to catch up with them.
The early Cyclamen have sold very well and at the moment we are on top of the colour.Last year everyone wanted Violas so we have grown more Violas and less Pansies.This year they want Pansies.
An interesting article in The Greenhouse Grower this month about the publics dislike of polystyrene Bedding Plant boxes and their preference for plastic that can be easily recycled.This is a point I have been making to garden centres for years.

Good News!Dotty has been back on the nursery regularly.She is keeping her distance but at least she is eating.Very pleased.
