Festivities

Tried a new brunch place this morning, Milk on Morrison St. Lots to commend it but the Bircher muesli wasn't as good as Falko's! Then caught an Irish play Lippy at the Traverse. Very thought provoking and cleverly staged....interesting (although any play about people who deliberately and slowly starve themselves to death in a house cut off from everyone and without any explanation isn't ever going to be an easy thing to watch!)
When we came out it was torrential rain, so we had to run to the car to get to the station in time for S. to set off home, although by the time I'd got home and made a cup of tea the sun had come back out!
Did some catching up on work things then off out again to Book Festival. After an interesting session (literary prize giving) we had dinner there and when the Tattoo fireworks started they added to the rather festive look of the lights in Charlotte Sq...Edinburgh in August is quite a place!
