Today's the day ........................... to see clearly
It was probably the showers of rain this morning that washed away any haziness in the view from Scout Scar today.
Everything was crystal clear and it was even possible to make out the familiar shape of Blackpool Tower at the far end of Morecambe Bay. The Lake District peaks were easily identifiable from Crinkle Crags on the left of this picture, past Scafell Pike, Bowfell, Esk Pike, Great End, Great Gable, Green Gable to the twin buttresses of Pike O'Stickle and Harrison Stickle.
It all looked like something straight out of a Wainwright guide book ..................
