Tripartite Celebrations
A triple birthday celebration with three of us getting a year older this week. We call it the Tripartite and it has become an annual tradition to celebrate in a cottage - somewhere different each year.
It was Iain's turn to be chef tonight and he made Carribean Chicken. Matthew had arrived only a short while before dinner - this year he could only attend for one night. We played more games after dinner, including a very slow game of poker.
Earlier we did a short walk exploring the vicinity of the cottage. I carried Orla in the bushbay for a while before Anne took her back. Iain, Ol and myself carried on to work up a good appetite for dinner.
We went for lunch in Reeth, in a pub called The Buck. A bit disappointing unfortunately, despite some good reviews. Rick and Lili departed later in the afternoon.
Here's a link to more photos of our week in Laykin.
