Hi, I'm Al
Al Paca that is.
Eighth and final back-blip…..
Just needed a lie-in this morning but had to vacate the holiday cottage by 10:00 so the usual nearly-frantic packing, double-checking that we've got everything (I still can't find my iPod), stuffing it in the car where it fits, then realising something essential is inaccessible without taking everything back out…. and, finally, goodbye North Devon.
Well, not quite. Anticipating some heavy traffic on changeover day we decided to visit Exmoor Zoo, just outside South Stowford, on the recommendation of a work colleague. It was great, over 175 species, encounter sessions (spiders, snakes etc.), feeding times - boy, those otters can squeal when they're hungry! One of the encounter sessions was with the Alpacas which I was really taken with. Their fleece is incredibly soft. The little white dots you see in the image are flies reflecting the sunlight.
Having spent several hours at the zoo we had a very straightforward journey home. Back to reality, washing, ironing etc. etc. Better get saving for the next holiday. Now, where shall we go……?
