Rutherglen Town Mill

Rutherglen Town Mill was thought to have been erected around 1662 for grain production and rebuilt in the 19th Century for the cotton and weaving industry.
Here the mill is depicted using un bleached cotton thread from the shuttle spindles wound around steel nails over a new calico canvas.
