Duck bassoon
To the Chateau of Cormatin, most wonderfully restored, with formal gardens, a maze and the widest moat I've ever seen. Some of the rooms retain their early 17th century decorations, and really give a feel for what it was like to be a member of the French aristocracy, with all its posing and etiquette. In one of them is this magnificent early bassoon (or possibly it is technically a curtal). Plus a hunting horn and the head of some member of the deer family as a bonus!
