"Shippo's"

Nottingham was once a major centre of the brewing industry with Home Ales, Kimberley and this one at Basford - Shipstones. This monumental and striking piece of architecture dates from 1900 and (now disused) forms a fine memorial to the heyday of the beer brewing industry. The Flag of St George seems to fly permanently from the top of the tower.
