Reflecting on Life

This reflection is of The Cruz nightclub which is a motor vessel (which is sinking) on the Water of Leith.

The title's because today is the date my Dad died, in 1985. And he was a Master Mariner - a pilot in Leith, he was a Captain in the Merchant Navy and he served in the Royal Navy, during WWII.

Additionally, his ship - The Polar Maid (of Christian Salvesen) brought back the penguins that set up Edinburgh Zoo's famous attraction - never or seldom-mentioned because of their association with whaling.

Bit maudling because of the date.
