Brown Hairstreak

Over to Steyning in West Sussex this morning for a Sussex Butterfly Conservation Trust walk in search of the brown hairstreak. After about an hour of searching we finally found this female. I'd never seen one before so was delighted to see this one close-up. By the end of the morning I'd seen half a dozen. That's probably it for butterflies this year. Next year I want to see the grayling another of the species I've never photographed.
