"Look a new baby foal"

has been born since we were last here at Ely and this one was fast asleep standing up next to his Mother. Bracken loves horses and I think given the chance he would have liked to have climbed through and joined them but I don't think somehow Mum would have approved. A little further down the field was a second baby but that had decided to lay outstretched for his/her afternoon nap!
A lovely warm afternoon it turned out with many people around enjoying the sunshine, lots of boats (mainly holidaymakers) on the river, and a free Jazz Band on the green which was very entertaining.
