Invisible People
Meet the Invisible People :) Francesca and I went to the botanic gardens this morning and saw a group of people walking around dressed completely in white and wearing customised hats. When we asked them about their outfits they explained that they were a over 60s theatre group doing a Fringe show in which they would perform a scene from a play, recite a poem, tell a story or joke, or give advice on demand. It was wonderful talking to them and we loved the fact that we were engaging in this level of human contact simply because of their attire. They call themselves the 'Invisible People' because they want to draw attention to the fact that the older generations are sometimes forgotten.
We had a picnic lunch in a patch of sunshine in the gardens - to my amazement I actually felt too hot in Edinburgh! In the afternoon we went to a one woman show, followed by a sketch show by a comedy troupe from York university and in the evening we saw a very entertaining German comedian.
This is my 50th consecutive blip! I'm really enjoying posting a photo every day!
