A Fine Day Out

We had a lovely day in Grasmere, wandering round the book shop where we made several purchases. Several hours were spent in the Heaton Cooper gallery where I bought a beautiful print and some new watercolours and art items were bought. We ended up at the local Grasmere art exhibition (the original aim of the visit) which runs every year, there were some fantastic ceramic hares and quite a few of the paintings had been sold. There was a fabulous painting of 7 Siskins - gorgeous - and a couple of lovely of lovely botanical paintings of flowers. A wonderful mix of artistic styles.
