France Day 12 : La Rochelle Marina

After checking out of our hotel and dumping our cases in the car, Lulabel, Mabel and I took a stroll past La Rochelle's huge marina. Sailing is obviously a very popular sport.

We then had a final people-watch/coffee on the promenade before heading back to Airvault, where D#2 was due to start work at 5.30pm.

The only stop we made was for a simple picnic lunch, sitting on a rickety wooden jetty in the Marais Poitevin, an area of canals known as Green Venice. Lulabel's blip shows how idyllically peaceful it was there!
