Mixed bunch

Today we were able to see how our fruit's been getting on while we've been away for the summer.

Our vine has been doing strange things... as you can see, in the same bunches we have big, juicy grapes and others that have shriveled rather miserably into little raisiny things. I have no idea why it's doing this - does anyone have any ideas?

Whatever the reason, it's looking unlikely we'll come anywhere near last year's 40kg of grapes (and we won't have so many jars of port & grape jelly to give away come Christmas!)

Our apples, on the other hand, are looking great this year :)
