Patience needed today.

We set of for a game of golf at El Plantio, near Alicante airport. I had phoned on Wednesday and was given a T Time of 10.56, arrived at 10.15 went to the caddy masters office to be told, sorry, your not down to play. However, we can fit you in but it will cost you 90 euros for the two of you and you will have to play the front 9 twice as the greens staff are working on the back 9, so I declined their offer.

So, we went to Benidorm to book the Palace show for 23rd September with Mike and Felicity, but first I had to call into the hotel to change the date of our arrival from 25th September to the 23rd,as we have our Community AGM on the morning of the 26th and there was no way I was going get back home to Quesada for 9.30am. The hotel couldn't have been more accommodating, changed the date and printed out a booking receipt, then upto the Palace, booked our meal and table. Job done.

We then went across to the Hotel Meditarraneo for a coffee. The lady at the bar was astounded when I ordered two coffees and asked to pay cash! The hotel was fully booked, looking outside every sun lounger was taken, people in various states of dress and sunburn, and they are all on 'all inclusive' hence her astonishment at us wanting to pay for our coffees, instead of handing our hotel card over.

The thought of having a holiday in August in a hotel in Benidorm going 'all inclusive' would be like hell on earth for me.

I then phoned our friendly golf agent, and he booked us a round of golf at Alicante Golf course for 2pm. So we eventually played our golf, tiring day, so off out for a meal.
