Theo's Christening Day

Rather than us all looking upon this as a joyous occasion, we were all relieved when it was over; despite looking angelic he was a little monkey!

It was a catholic service; I found a page in the service book dedicated to exorcism....I suggested to Theo's dad that we book this instead and christen him Damien (that's how mischievous he was being).

He legged it from the Priest and took a shine to the sacryn bell; the Priest quipped we have an altar boy in the making!

The bit we were dreading the most was the water blessing at the font, but he actually enjoyed that bit!

After the service, we went for drinks to Wetherspoons, where my sister promptly ordered a double Tia Maria & coke; she never usually drinks!
I'm not sure how we ended up doing this, given that my sister had been up since 5am making the food for a buffet; they had a room booked at the local WMC (& they weren't best pleased with the no show) and I had bought the christening cake (which I intended to photograph at the venue when it had been unwrapped), but this ended up being left at my sisters house. I'm sure they had their reasons so I didn't ask.

We didn't stay long; Mr A is working tomorrow so we made the best of the weather and went out on the bike for the afternoon, which was fab!

Today's blip is of my Sister, Mum, Theo & I
