A vole in a hole ..

Or I *would* have a photo of a vole in the hole if everyone who came down to the pond hadn't stomped along the boardwalk towards me, bellowing 'Seen anything interesting?'


Sorry to rant - but - why oh why oh why oh why oh why do people see someone sitting quietly with a camera, long lens poised and think it's appropriate to stride up to you, bellowing?

I was in a nature reserve for heaven's sake - couldn't they just work out that someone taking wildlife photos might just appreciate a bit of quiet (as might the wildlife)

Grump, grump ..

Anyway - here's a distant photo of the little water vole having a bit of a preen underneath the boardwalk before I even got to the pond.

No closer views were to be had due to noisy passers by .. sigh ..
