Apethorpe Hall - yours for £2-5 Million!

Today we had a booked tour of Apethorpe Hall - an american guide showed us round. It's a 15th century country house built around 3 courtyaeds. There was a documentary on the BBC a while ago about it. No one has yet bought it but it is being restored magnificently by English Heritage. At one time it was an approved school and the statue of James 1 st who you can see here acquired the wooden handle as his mace! A former teacher who has stayed on for years unpaid did the topiary with the rabbit and its fishing rod - there was also a teddy bear!
