ek yes

up and out early to take aye inspired down to east kilbride for it's final exhibition. what a lovely bunch they are - all working hard for a yes vote. we had loads of help setting up and loads of folk through the door when we opened - including local msp linda fabiani, julie wilson nimmo (or miss hoolie to most folk) and her husband greg hemphill pictured here. we tried to get julie in the photo too but she was off chatting to someone. it was nice to see the artwork out again and we sat and watched as folk looked round it, read the blurbs, chuckled at greg moodie's cartoons and debated about the alex salmond portraits. again, some folk felt emotional when reading the blurbs...a particularly lovely thing for us to see when putting on the exhibition.

most of the artwork was left out later that night for the yes rally. speakers included partick harvie (greens), colin fox (scottish socialists), saffron dickson (generation yes), carolyn leckie (women for independence) and alan bissett (national collective). I was exhausted but it was a good night and a nice finale to aye inspired.
