Friends

We had a busy Sunday that included church and a lunch/swimming date for the kids, A's friend C, and me. Here are A and C posing with some of the toy dinosaurs the restaurant has available for kids. C recently declared herself a vegetarian and we had an interesting conversation about this over lunch. Ben is vegetarian, as is C's mom, so all of the kids are familiar with both concept and practice. I asked C what made her decide to become vegetarian and she said, "I just really don't like the idea of animals being killed just to be my food." A thought about this and piped up, "I really don't like the idea of that, either. But I do like the taste."
