Pottery deconstruction...

Had a very different sort of day in the mudroom!

Here i am deconstructing some large bowls, all in the name of 'creativity'. I've often mentioned Cora-Lee and George and their Feasts well this time it is a much more elaborate affair, and i was invited to be one of the artists to contribute.

Each month they adapt a book to fit with their event....this month it is the amazing book, Night Circus and 6-7 rooms have been created in collaboration with Cora-Lee. I have the first room, which has to do with pottery shattering and then being recreated.........so this is just a teaser!

I've spent the day breaking pottery and with Terry's help we hot glued them back together, leaving large cracks to let out the light.....they have been painted and decorated in a very different way! maybe this will lead me into a new line!!!

Tomorrow i will head to Cora-lee's and we will install all that i have created, into the room!

If you are looking for an amazing book to read (i listened to it on CD) then i'd highly recommend this one!

Plus, i was interviewed by a German couple who do travel writing - and they will be posting an interview, with images, sometime in the next day or 2. Unfortunately their blog is of course, in German!!!! well, we'll see.... maybe they will have an English version of their Canadian blog!
