Skiving
I decided that today was a bank holiday. It has been a while since I got out to the scrapes at Levenhall, so I took an executive decision that it was time.
Quite a mixed bag of birdies seen, including a young wheatear (possibly on passage back from Greenland) a few cute Little Grebe chicks (see Bignonioides blip for extra cuteness) and some ruffs (or reeves?)
This little fellow was the surprise at the hides, though. Capreolus capreolus the roe deer, still with traces of his youthful spots on his haunch.
