Joan Hawks

My friend Barbara and Lesley are twins and I have known them since we were 15. This is their mum Joan who only a few months ago went into residential care as she was finding it difficult to cope in her own home. She is still very good company, as bright as a button with a wicked sense of humour and will be 100 on 15 December. She wants to celebrate the occasion with a trip to London in a stretch limo and afternoon tea at Claridges - it wouldn't surprise me if she went clubbing after!
