..........ouch, ouch, ouch............
A great day today.............with a dramatic end.
The whole family drove over to Shepley....near Huddersfield......to my cousins.
It took us a while to find the place.............but eventually we got there.
Introductions were made.........alcohol was consumed...........a wonderful lunch was eaten..........a huge amount of catching up was done.............and reminiscing.
Charlotte met the chickens........and the labradoodles!
We went for a stroll to the local cricket club........which was hosting a beer festival! This being Yorkshire the stroll was up hill and down dale............and what Sandra claimed was "about three quarters of a mile" was closer to a mile and a half........but we had an enjoyable afternoon sampling the beers and ciders and standing chatting for a couple of hours......before returning to Sandra's wonderful, and large, cottage.
Hannah was just having some milk before the journey home when a crash was heard from upstairs...............it sounded like something heavy had been dropped and bounced...........turned out to be the Boss! She had missed a small step on the landing, twisted her ankle and fallen full length!
Her ankle very quickly enlarged to twice its size............this was a blow as she was due to drive home...........the Daughter had drunk some fierce cider....didn't have her specs and isn't used to driving my car............so, although I had consumed enough beer to put me very close to the limit..........you can guess the rest.
We got home safely around 8.30.........an inspection of the Boss' ankle determined that she needed to go to A & E.....suspected fracture.....the daughter drove her there.......because the up and down walk, the standing around and the driving had caused my knee to become very painful.
They left at 9.00 and got back home just before midnight!........no fracture...........just a bad sprain.
I just managed to get this shot of the injured part 1 minute to midnight!
Das vidanya moy padruga.
