After nearly thirty years of discussion, planning, politics, and construction, Minneapolis-Saint Paul has opened the Central Corridor light rail line, which now becomes our second. It's been branded the Green Line, and on a miserably wet July day, I and tens of thousands of other city dwellers explored the first public transit rail line to connect the two cities since the tire companies destroyed the old streetcar system.
