Evehicle joins Southern NHSFT to cut CO2 emissions
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is using two electric cars to reduce CO2 emissions. Scott Jones from the Estates and Facilities team said: “We were finding that our delivery and maintenance staff were using cars for short trips when they only really needed a small car, so we looked at getting an electric vehicle to reduce our CO2 emissions and costs. We have leased one EV for three years and have been trialing another with a view to getting a small electric van. We have also installed electric points at our local hospitals and sites. Southern Health is dedicated to running environmentally sustainable services and this goes part of the way.”
