Half the World Away

This morning we took our son Richard to Birmingham airport for his flight to Beijing where he and his fiancée Jenny are going to work for two years.
We are to be custodians of some of his most treasured possessions, his bike, his guitar, his amplifier, his massive CD, book and DVD collection and their cat, Milly.
What a responsibility.
Jenny is already out in China, so in a short time they will be reunited, half the world away.
