Dolly in Monte

It's very, very hot here! Thankfully my sunscreen is doing it's job, apart from one bit I missed on my shoulder! We walked into Funchal this morning and went on the wine tour at Blandy's wine lodge! It was quite interesting and we got some Madeira wine at the end, it's quite treacly! After that we took the cable car up to Monte and then another cable car over to the botanic gardens! The gardens were lovely, they are built on the hillside and are very steep! It must take some amount of water to keep the plants growing, it hasn't rained in Madeira for over a month! This pic is the view over Funchal from Monte, it was lovely!
