Chagall Windows: St. Stephan, Mainz

The absolute highlight of the day!!!

Imagine walking into a church and as soon as you step through the door everything is blue!
Marc Chagall created nine windows for the church St. Stephan in Mainz, our states capitol. It was my first visit there. The windows were wonderful! I've seen the Chagall windows in Reims/France, but don't remember those as impressive.

The rest of the day was not that great. It included delayed trains and missed trains and an unplanned stop in Bad Münster am Stein (which is a little city I like a lot but not in the late evening alone in a train station after "loosing" my company in another train...).
But I'm home now. Late, but I'm home.
