Zebra

After 3 days of relentless house clearing we took a break this afternoon and went to the West Midland Safari Park who are running late nights until end August.

Arrived just before 6 and got straight on with the Safari. Wow! Have seen lots of animals in Zoos but none as close up as this. Despite the rain we had such an experience as we drove through an almost deserted park. The sunset light glowed the most surreal orange and bathed the animal in a glorious light.

And these? These are my new-found friends: the Zebras. Although I am partial to being surprised by Lions brushing right past the car (to look at a discarded coffee cup in the middle of the road?) these cheek-stets stuck their heads into the window at every opportunity. Always thought Zebras were a bit aloof but this bunch are comedy gold.
