The birds of Blacktofts
Had a very enjoyable day at RSPB Blacktoft Sands, near Goole.
Lovely warm weather, with the sun coming in and out.
Quite a lot of variety of birds today.
Also lots of wild flowers, bees, and dragonflies. Only saw one butterfly, which surprised me.
Never get very good photos as even with my zoom they are quite far away.
So decided a collage with the best of the bunch.
Top Left : Swan preening itself.
Top Right: Ruff (I think) and lapwing.
Bottom Left: Redshank ( I think)
Bottom Middle: lapwing.
Bottom Right: Shoveler.
I hope someone can confirm my Redshank and Ruff.!
I hadn't realised but to day's challenge was "Water Wednesday"!
