my 90-year-old mother in law has a new neighbour - the other old lady is a recent arrival from athens (her family moved to crete 'due to the crisis')

this has provided my mother in law with the incentive for going on afternoon walks - she never seemed to want to leave the house, but i guess it is because she had no motivation to do it before the neighbour moved down here

common interests, i guess
