Happy Flowers

Today, it occurred to me that I am exactly six months into being a blipper. Now I realize this is not an official blipday, but it does seem pretty significant to me and I thought this image expressed exactly how I am feeling about it all.

Yesterday I spent about 2 1/2 hours of the day exploring, and taking photos and I realized that as I enter this retirement stage of life, I now have the ability to entertain and challenge myself for endless hours with photography. I feel like I have been given a priceless gift.

We passed this field of sunflowers as we drove to our destination on Saturday and I knew I needed to go back. To get a really good shot, I probably need to go back again because I learned quite a bit from this experience. Nevertheless, I thought this one captured just how lovely it was there in the morning sun.
