When I am an old woman I shall wear purple ...

I’ve has a great day out in London with Anne (my sister-in-law) … some retail therapy – lunch – prosecco – coffee – cake/ice-cream – gin – and lots of catching up and chatting.

While we were having lunch the ladies in the picture appeared and I asked if I could take their picture … they are from the Norwich Chapter of the Red Hat Society, which is for "ladies over 50" and was all triggered by the poem, Warning by Jenny Joseph.
The lady on the right, Carol (aka Queen Fantasia) described the Red Hat Society as "playschool for older women".

I’m off to investigate whether there is a Chapter near me!
