Paris.....

I am reading this wonderful record of Orwells time in Paris and London, living on and under the bread line. It is a fabulously told tale full if places and characters which come alive in your mind. The poorer areas of interwar Paris are described to perfection and the matter of fact way he describes hunger and desperation is stunning.
I am about to travel across the channel with Orwell to London which I am hoping will be just as riveting.
