Darkness falls quickly

The dogs and I set off for our evening walk as it gets dusky and before we know it it's almost dark. I wanted to take a picture of some deer by a tree, but it was way too dark for my phone camera, so this little chap obliged instead by crawling out in front of us. I guess he's a shield bug, but it was all I could do to stop the dogs interrogating him, so I only got a quick shot!
