The Allotment

Today was a good day. I got a break from the task of sorting out the dining room and went to the allotment with a group of pupils. It was a beautiful afternoon. I was photographing one of the pupils digging in a raised bed when this butterfly landed in the bed next to us. The Science teacher was on hand to inform us that it was a peacock butterfly. I have never been so close to a butterfly that stayed so still.
