Swallows... Summer??

They're confused, that's what they are.

There were - literally - hundreds of them in the air and on the wires this evening when I came home... it's been autumn all August, and hardly a swallow in sight all summer, and here they're all back all of a sudden for no obvious reason whatsoever!

Not that I'm complaining. They're beautiful whenever they turn up. Maybe we'll get that Indian summer after all.
