Decisions Decisions Decisions...

Spent the morning at the Kanapaha Botanical Gardens here in Gainesville, FL. The gardens are in their usual end of Summer, whew!, decline. Certainly not as many flowers as in the Spring. But this is a great time to view the Victoria Giant Lilies (Victoria amazonia). The flower of this water lily is rather spectacular! Here's a prior blip showing the entire plant...Giant Water Lily.

Also in the Gardens,Whistling Ducks. These ducks are native to the area and sing out a loud whistling sound as they fly.

A pair of Golden Orb Spiders, aka BANANA SPIDERS. The larger female is on the bottom of the photo.

And lastly but certainly not leastly...For those of you who are actually reading this text... all the way down to here...I present...NIPPLE FRUIT, I kid you not! Yep...Solanum mammosum! It's a native of South America and produces fruit that is poisonous....Not surprised?...Nor I! Sometimes referred to as 'Apple of Sodom'. It was an interesting morning!
