Nostell Priory

I haven't been here for years. I think the last time was when I was still working as an education consultant for history/geography with Wakefield Council. We'd set off early to take Jim for his day's lesson at the Xscape snow-park near Castleford and we didn't need to collect him until 3.30pm. So Ann suggested we take Bob to the playground at Nostell Priory (he fell asleep on the way there of course!) We also met up with my mum and brother there for lunch, which was terrible. I've eaten lunch at several National Trust properties in the last year and all have been good, but not this one. It's set in beautiful grounds and the children's playground is fantastic (but my advice is to pack your own lunch if you go) they didn't even have a separate till open for ice-cream and there were lots of people around on this holiday week afternoon.
