Brambling - The 5 Rules

Some brambles have been ripe in the hedges for about a month now and we keep saying that we must go and pick some. So we did and realised that there are 5 important rules to bramble picking.
1) The best ones are always out of reach and nowhere near where you parked the car.
2) Your fingers will turn purple.
3) The thorns and nettles are out to get you.
4) Overgrown ditches are waiting to swallow you up.
5) See 3 above - Real men don't bother trying to protect their their arms. A flimsy T shirt will suffice (OUCH!!!).
