Vera

Dull morning, bright afternoon and then a heavy downpour.

After our Church Cafe we went to the funeral of a lovely lady called Vera. She had been a long term member of our Church and was one of the first to welcome us when we arrived three years ago. She had given a lifetime of service to the church but in her latter years became quite frail. However, her smile lit up whenever she saw you and could cheer you up whatever condition you were in. She never complained about her situation, despite being widowed and being in poor health. She was an outstanding Christian lady, full of grace and humility. I am sure her family were encouraged by the words our Pastor spoke at the Service.

It would be good if we all followed her example and brought light rather than darkness to the people around us.
