Veneer jig

Six days ago this was the “job for today” – why 6 days to complete? The doweling is 15mm and the nearest drill I have is 16mm. Possible options, using local shops, was to get some 16mm dowelling or get a 15mm wood drill - no joy on either options. Internet to the rescue and purchased a 15mm wood drill.
The jig is for ‘R’ and is used to cut a straight edge on veneer –the veneer is clamped between the two pieces of wood on the dowelling and a plane used to cut the straight edge.
