Pheasant cover

A lot of the fields round here leave a strip of maize so that when they have a shoot there is some cover for the pheasants. Then they send in the beaters to drive out the pheasants so they can shoot them. Country pursuits!!
This strip near me has sunflowers among the maize. Don't know if the pheasants appreciate how pretty it looks.
