Last gasp of summer?

So being back in the UK, it feels definitely autumnal.

I went for a swim in the Lido today - it is down to 18 degrees, after swimming in Cyprus it was like swimming in ice. I managed 12 lengths, but my feet were frozen by the end!

I hear we have a mini heatwave on the way (just in time for schools to be going back ...) so maybe this sunflower will get its chance to bloom.
