First Crocuses
It snowed this morning, just briefly; and I went out expecting to snap some snow flakes. However, in the time between retrieving my dustbin from the roadside, eating breakfast and going back out to take a picture, the snow had all melted (good) and I saw the first crocuses of the year in my garden.
I've struggled to grow bulbs in my garden, I planted over 100 in a small garden but between clay soil and a horrendously wet summer most of them rotted in the ground. As a result, to go outside and find crocuses ready to flower is lovely.
