Day out with Underwatershetland

Had a great day out with Alan and Robbie at UnderwaterShetland on their motor yacht, the m.v. Galathea, which is equipped with an underwater camera which they can swim out on an umbilical and send the pictures back to a big screen on board. Alan and Robbie were great with kids (not just our grandchildren - I have known Alan since the late 1960's - but other kids from another family) - and the kids got turns at steering the yacht. Robbie is an enthusiastic expert on anything/everything that lives/grows on the rocks and wrecks - I used to spend a lot of time guddeling in rock pools and snorkeling, in my youth, but learned a lot about things you are kind of peripherally aware of but don't really notice. I will in the future.
