Kapiti Island

Today was a gorgeous Wellington day, so we decided to make the most of it. Firstly we (Dave and I) went and had brunch in a little cafe in plimmerton then surprised Rufus by turning up at Club Fido (his Friday doggy daycare), he was so excited to have us there and show us around and off to his mates. Then we dog napped him and drove up the coast to Paraparaumu where we visited family and went for a big walk on the beach. This shot is of the sun an hour away from setting behind Kapiti Island (a pest free bird sanctuary). Stunning day
