Persevere!

Today, I managed to get M to stop working long enough to take a blipwander along the Water of Leith. She had never seen the goosanders or mergansers in real life, so we trotted off to their usual haunts; only to find that they were elsewhere today :(
M wandered homeward as I continued my walk, hoping to find some interesting creatures, and sure enough, just round the corner, there was the Lesser Spotted Acronymphomania, large as life!

Poor lad was a bit frazzled with work, and missing his DSLR as it gets shunted from pillar to post in the labyrinth of insurance claims.

So this is for you, mate, and any other blippers looking for the light at the end of the tunnel :)

It's a piece of art on the Water of Leith Walkway. Persevere is the motto of the town of Leith.


There was a good obituary in the Guardian today of our friend Alistair. Very sudden and unexpected passing. He and M shared the stage at a few benefits and protest gigs over the years. A great performer and songwriter and will be sadly missed. No passeran, companero.
